The HT3 Series Torque Multiplier, also known as a torque amplifier, gear torque multiplier, or torque booster, is a precision mechanical tool designed to multiply input torque by a specified ratio.
The torque multiplier converts relatively low input torque into significantly higher output torque through its internal gear mechanism. Since output power cannot exceed input power, the increase in output torque is accompanied by a proportional reduction in output rotational speed.
Most torque multipliers use a planetary gear system to achieve torque multiplication. Typical multiplication ratios range from approximately 5:1 to 125:1, with maximum output torque of some models reaching approximately 50,000 Nm.
