Product Overview
The Hydraulic Nut is a new-generation fastening solution for heavy-duty bolted connections. Conventional nuts are tightened by applying torque with a wrench, and a large portion of the input force is consumed in overcoming thread and bearing-surface friction. This can make it difficult to achieve the required bolt preload, particularly on large-diameter, high-strength bolts where access, manual force, and tooling capacity are limited.
Unlike conventional torque tightening, the hydraulic nut uses hydraulic pressure to generate direct axial preload, allowing high clamping force to be applied to the bolted connection with reduced influence from friction and bolt torsion.
The controlled axial preload helps maintain reliable joint clamping under demanding operating conditions, including applications subject to continuous vibration and heavy loads.
